Just had a week up at Thredbo, first time skiing in many years ... first time as a bonsai enthusiast, stopped more than I should have on the ski runs to enjoy some natural alpine trees and photograph a few! Be nice to have all these in pots!!!

I was there the other week, and found it interesting to look at the trees from a "bonsai" perspective too. First time since starting Bonsai too...

ie many of the standalone snow gums are twisted every which way. ie they don't face any prevailing direction.

The gums in a "forest", of course are more vertical.

Just five minutes before seeing this thread I saw this.

I have been having a heck of a lot of trouble propagating my Eucalyptus pauciflora seeds. Stratification isn't working, so I think I'm going to have to scarify the seeds.

Anyone have any experience?

Cheers
