Much prettier than a mass-produced mudman, and I imagine he eats lots of unwanted critters in your trees!

Was he escaping the sun? :)
Trying to work out what sort of bird it is, kinda reminds me of a butcher bird but the yellow markings and slightly hooked beak are throwing me off a bit.
Anyone here an ornithologist? :P

This guy is a honey eater. the long hooked beak is to get right inside the flower. Yes it was hot yesterday, and windy, i think he liked the shade and dampness.

Do you put out anything to deliberately attract the birds, Bodhi?

New Holland honey eater, be careful if you have fuchsias, they poke a hole in the base of the flowers to get the honey :D
If you are not killing plants, then you are not extending yourself as a gardener..
