It grows on an dry, hard, east facing ridge above the Snowy River gorge on our farm.

It dropped another major branch last year (check to person's left) as a result of ongoing drought conditions but recent rain (mid Feb and early March 2010) has resulted in new growth. Great to see. It's a tree you have to stop and touch.
