Juniperus Shimpaku Bunjingi.
I have been training this bunjingi clump( kabudachi ) for approx 5 years. The biggest problem I had was, where you see the tubing at the base of the trees.
At that point it was like an L so it offended the eye.
I have corrected that by drilling instead of cutting. The idea is to drill into the branch with a small drill to about half the thickness of the trunk or branch you wish to bend.
Then move the drill in a motion of SIDEWAYS NOT ROUND. this then allows you to bend it with out much fear. A sturdy wire or in this case a turnbuckle.
So now it is over to you for comments at

It looks much better than it did in the past Pup but I still look for ways to rid it of the oval silhouette and would also like to see the branches come down more.

I have made comment on this clump in the past on another site and I like the changes Pup. Nice presentation.

Hi Pup,
Not sure if you still have this tree, but would love to see updates if any further development has occurred?
Cheers,
Mo

One of the fabulous things about growing bonsai is as you get old and decrepit your trees get old and beautiful

They remind me of the old Sesame Street animations for some reason... the one with the fruits I think?Boics wrote:We need more 360's on this website!!

If anyone has quality tree's that they would like to see presented in this way please let me know. You just need a turntable, camera, tripod, plain background and some basic photography skills. Full instructions are provided and we do all the work in putting together the 360's.Boics wrote:We need more 360's on this website!!
