That's an interesting one. I think there is an apex, might not site above the highest point of the tree though

As stated in my entry I plan on having a branch higher. Just did a quick vert to show something like I hope to have in the near future
litv.jpg
I reckon I could have a half decent representation of this in another couple of months. I probably should add this vert to my entry :shifty:

G,day guys the reason for so many bumps, in the reminder post is so that we can get as many of the entrants to post, so that we know whether the tree is still alive and still in your possession.

So if you have already submitted your last post on your entry can you please signify that. So the judges know what is to be judged and what we will not be judging.

At the start of the competition there were many entries. there are still over 40. There has been on activity on many of them since the original post and some nothing past the half year mark.

So this grumpy old bugger wants to know, because if it has not been up dated, as far as the judges are concerned, it has not been improved there for not to be judged.

So if you want it judged get it in and post, It will make it very easy if you do not. As we have. A judging sheet agreed, by the moderators, and management and of course the judges.

Which has points allocated to the following.

Instruction -Impact -trunk- conformation- foliage. this applies to both aged and new stock. So that you understand why I am so pushy and grumpy the, INSTRUCINIAL,PART OF THE JUDGING CARRIES THE MOST AMOUNT OF POINTS TO BE GIVEN. Sorry for shouting but as you can see I want all who have entered to either say not interested, or I wish to be judged.
By the way Webos nice entry.
This is the last word, on the comp may the best person win.
Good luck all Midnight tonight is the deadline no late entries excepted.

Pup on behalf of all the Judges good luck. :aussie: :aussie:

Good point Pup. I thought it might be a good idea to quote the first Paragraph of the Intro and Guidelines from the official opening thread of the Competition.

Please read the guidelines carefully before posting your entries.
The emphasis in this contest is learning and teaching as much as the finished result. All aspects of literati are encouraged from "finished" literati that you show us how you maintain the tree over the year to new nursery stock just starting on it's journey. The emphasis in this contest is learning and teaching as much as the finished result at the end of the contest. The scoring will reflect that by about half the points awarded for participation by either learning or teaching so keep that in mind if you are interested in the hundreds of dollars of prizes on offer
This contest is run to further our understanding and skills in creating and refining the Literati Bunjin style. As such the rules are a guide for us and the moderators/judges on how to rule and participate but the judges decision is final. As the aim is to learn how to create and maintain great literati bunjingi it is important to allow a wide range of material and discussion to show examples of what can be created with various stock. This is about Literati, Bungingi the trees and their transformation as much as the contestants. Discussion is encouraged.
The judges will decide on the winning entries by taking into account the guidelines and what has been accomplished in the year with chosen stock as well as what has been learnt or taught by the contestant in the process. As much as the final result of the submission.
Not sure if learning or teaching ended up with half the points but it is still a big chunk and you can blame me for that :tounge:
Still time to add more info of what you know have learn't or where taught.
It's too bad your in such a hurry cause the stories I could tell you, Bushels and baskets of stories, hole crates full of stories. But if you can spare a moment I will tell you one story.
