Just to update with some final tweaks:
The lower jin is a bit thick comparing to the trunk and doesn't seem to please the eyes so 'veI decided to remove it. After the grafting tape was remove, the bark started to become rough and flaky which adds age looks to it which is a good thing. However, as seen in the previous photos, the folliage pads were a bit too thick and and the twigs were too straight and hence the tree appeared imature. These were trimmed, thinned out and rewired. It looks like the wiring on the branches will have to stay that way for a few more months to keep in shap. I was tempted to repot the tree in a shallower pot or slap as the tree looks very healthy at this stage but more concerned that it is not the right time and may be more harm than good. I think this is as far as I go for this competition.
Again, thank you everyone for your support and guidance.
