I got this tree from Flower Power in winter as an advanced Shrub for $25. It was about 1m tall and in a 9 inch pot. (i think)
Cut it down straight away but didn't take an initial picture :( .
I found the pot it is in at a local nursery for $7. While it was still winter, the tree seemed to be growing. So after seeking advice on this site,
I repotted it into the shallow pot, cutting i'd say 90% of the roots off. Much to my surprise it survived and then had a few flowers on the left side only.
I feel i was lucky to find this tree when i did, not really knowing what i was looking for. I really like how it has turned out as it reminds me of the Bottle Brush I had out the front of and old house i used to live in. This photo was taken mid jan, would like to put a more recent pic up as it has filled out a bit but my camera is on the blink. Enjoy.
