This is the first time these had some autumn colour and indeed, dropped leaves. In effect, their first rest in two years. Another lockdown - another haircut here in Melbourne. Long ticks in an box are becoming shorter stick in a box. Nothing to see here but slow progression and the first hint of any form of ramification. Continuing to cut the top out of them is also starting to cause some movement too.

Re: Straight Out Tridents
A bit of relaxation needed today; feeling a bit average - so decided to repot some trees.
One thing I like about foam training pots is you can break them apart - see what’s going on and then easily saw the trees out. That’s what I did here. The photos tell the story as this fun forest takes its next step into a smaller plastic training pot.

Yeah this is starting to take shape!
Really like the perspective/general feel looking at it from the last couple of pics you posted. The interaction between the two biggest trees in particular from here works well for me.

Ditto to what R3 said, starting to take some real shape.
You don't have to tell me all your secrets, but is that a cat litter tray, and if yes, how many holes did you drill in it?

Hey Watto - it was a fruit box or similar from memory and drilling is a bit rich - I poked two rows of thumb-sized holes about every five inches.

We need an icon that says "I'm enjoying this thread", because I'm enjoying this thread. When I looked at the first pic in today's post I thought it's looking good but it could do with bigger gaps through the middle to draw your eye in, and that's what you did. It's coming along well and the new pot is an improvement too!
Matt.
