Confused plum

Post by SquatJar »

I got a pleasant surprise when watering my plum a few days ago. The first of spring flowers 2022??? :palm:

I know many winter and spring flowering species will throw some random flowers throughout the year but I've never seen my plum do it. I think this is a blireana or seedling thereof.

Very pretty bonus flower.
It's been a mad weather year here so the plants have put on four "spring" growth spurts and we are on our third rose flowering and fourth wisteria flowering. The latest "Spring" flower to show up was a Naked Lady bulb flowering in the garden - yesterday!
Enjoy,

Jan
