Swamp Cyprus & Corky bark

Post by Nickbb »

I recently bought a few maple of market place and the seller mentioned he had Swampies & Corky Bark available

The Swampies are 3 years old for $25, would they be ready for a trunk chop?

The Corky Bark are 8 years old and $35, would this be a suitable starter?

I was thinking to buy a couple of each, I am just starting out so was wondering if it would be a good or bad starter?

Would they be ready for a trunk chop ?? Maybe but you don’t just trunk chop unless it suits your future plans. In my opinion at that price n age they def would not be ready for any type of chopping.

If the swampies have been grown strongly there is no reason why you can't trunk chop if you're looking for directional changes in them. Most important thing with swampies that you find where the nebari ends before you chop off the roots or the trunk.

Got any pics?
