Privet

Post by trekin »

Hi All

I am new to Bonsai, and this is my first post.
I have been reading about privets and that they are very forgiving.
So I decided to collect one from the local creek.
And I will practice on it, when it gets some cloths on.

Hi Trekin,

Welcome to Ausbonsai and bonsai! You chose a great tree to start on. Very nice stump. Privet are hardy and big feeders, but i suggest you take some of those pellets off. Its quiet a lot to apply at one time, especially when the tree should be recovering. Good luck!

when it shoots out allover the place.. Select you r new leader, and wire it to shape.. let it go mad and grow in the box to thicken up the new leader.
