cedar - cones

Post by shibui »

This deodar is one of my oldest bonsai. It started as a pencil thick seedling from Nell Saffin way back in the mid 1980s
Also one of the larger ones at my place.

This year it has decided to do the conifer equivalent of flower. I have not seen this before so thought I would share some photos.

I suspect these are male cones as they don't appear to have scales.
