Another good one.

I collected this from a creek in the hills, no digging required as the soil had been washed away, so was able to flat cut in place, this olive was due to be poisoned soon, would have been a shame.

Here is a youtube of the dig ...

Wow, great find! Looking forward to the progression of this tree!

Thanks also for sharing the video! Feel we need more of these "how I work videos". Minor criticism, was great having the "bonsai master first person cam" but it was a bit hard to see the chainsaw/action. Obviously cannot do a re-take, next time, is it possible to strap the camera to the chainsaw?? Just a thought, hehe.

Did also like the "second camera, wide view shot" ... be good to see more of that shot next time, or a "picture in picture" edit?

Must say, chainsaw is one tool my bonsai belt is missing, haha.

Thanks for the youtube link, very interesting.
Good quality potential stock and I hope it is a long-term success.

Re the camera work yeah Steven Spielberg I aint LOL
I almost didn't make the video when I seen the angle was all wrong, but you get the general idea, chainsaw cams a good idea, will try that next time

As far as chain sawing these stumps at or below ground level gos its murder on the chains, used 3 chains just to get this.
