Urban yamadori buxus

Post by Albo »

Shopping centres or McDonalds car parks are great for finding Buxus. Not sure what type this one is if anyone can let me know?
Look for the ones on the corners of the garden bed that have been run over 100 times by cars jumping the corners.
I recently found one that was so smashed up I couldn’t believe it was still alive. Just picked it up and it came out of the ground with a little tug.
Ask someone permission to take of course.
It will be much happier with me, if it survives the next couple weeks.

I forgot to take before photo but I really didn’t do much except cut a really long straight branch and change planting angle as it was basically squashed flat.
I’ll let it recover before I worry about styling but windswept is probably pretty obvious choice.
I think the old dirty pot suits it.
