To see that level of ramification and pad development, so consistently over all of your trees is wow, just wow.

I know that it is not magic and is *just* the application of good technique, but it is amazing how it can transform almost any trunk from “yeah, good” to “holy shari”.

Any pine lovers should be signing up for some tutorials with you.

RE: pots, I really don't like this mass produced tokoname pot, When I went to tokoname they were piled up on pallets, for about $8 each. I have ordered from Zenigo Izumiya (a potter in Tokoname) a lovely round pot with a flare, lip and band. It'll suit this tree well over the coming years. Id really like a gyozan pot but I just can part with $3000 right now.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words

Matt

:gday:

A quick update, needle plucked this tree last night, this was a progress shot, will get another shot of finished tree later.

Pretty happy with the results, will need to dewire soon and I'll see how it sits, may not need to wire again for a year.

I did mention pots last time i posted. I had a pot custom made by Ikkou in his iconic red clay from China. I had it engraved with 伯樹園 since i had the chance. :shifty: 8-)

cheers,

bunce.
