Hey All,
Looking to get a flowering bonsai, does anyone know of a good species to train/transform into a raft? Quick internet search yields azalea and bougainvillea, but not sure they suit the raft style? Also, am in Sydney, so something that isn't too difficult for the climate (my first tree was a pine which I struggled with, and turns out was in part to being difficult to Sydney?)?
Thanks,
Daniel

Grewia occidentalis have beautiful flowers and would suit a raft style, although i'm not sure how they would go in Sydney, would have to find out....
