Gardenia

Post by NeilC »

This is a Gardenia I had in the garden for a few years.
Pulled out 2 years ago and potted up, let it grow a bit more and just gave it a big haircut!

I think you are very clever to hang that pot on a vertical fence
Just kidding. The image software seems to post pics in their original format so if you take photos in portrait they end up sideways on the screen.
Does it flower well for you yet?

The trunk is solid and shape looks good. The high root on the right is a bit distracting though. Have you considered removing that one and maybe burying the rest just a fraction more so they are not so far out of the soil?

I am pretty tricky with photos! I will remember that.

I have always cut back when it has become leggy, so no it has not flowered.

I like your idea of the removing the root and levelling off, next repot!

Thanks for the tips

That made me laugh.

Your trunk is x-rated. Or am I the only one seeing something naughty?

I style Bonsai naturally, just as they would appear in the wild.
