Azaleas

Post by LLK »

Hi everyone,
For over three months I have had the joy of being greeted by a lovely Azalea every time I went to my pergola. I kept my Azaleas under cover for most of the time because of damaging weather. I didn't take photos of all, but thought I'd share with you three special ones I have. Sorry to say, I don't remember their names. The one labelled IIa is one that flowers twice a year. The last one is a satsuki . Maybe others would care to show their beautiful Azaleas?
Best wishes,

Lisa

Thanks, Roger. I'll stay with the name of Summer Sun for now. Those Azaleas were/are such a joy, as they flower for weeks on end and when you think that one is in full bloom, lo! there are buds you hadn't seen, and on it goes.
I remove the flowers when the tree starts to drop them, and then give the whole plant a thorough pruning. No full sun, but a bit of fertiliser and a lot of peace and quiet to prepare for new growth.
