Vale Arthur Robinson

Our club has received news which started with the words,
"Dear AABC club members,
It is with deep regret that we inform you that Arthur Robinson passed away on Monday, 1 February 2021 after suffering a massive stroke on Friday, 27 January.
Arthur Robinson was a famous bonsai artist, teacher and demonstrator, who specialised in growing Satsuki Azaleas. The entire obituary cannot be quoted here, as there is no author's name, nor the name of the WA club to which he or she might belong. But I found two articles on the internet which are very worth a read:
Arthur Robinson - Satsuki Bonsai Artist ... et.net.au) and
Satsuki Society of Australasia - Bonsai Satsuki Azalea
The second one has a series of articles that are especially interesting, as Arthur writes about the inorganic potting mix which he used for the growth and propagation of Azaleas, as well as about related subjects, like what to to and when.
But there was much more to Arthur than growing Azaleas; he was very involved in the NBPCA, and built violins.
He certainly has an outstanding place in the Australian History of bonsai.
