Leucadendron Cheeky

Post by Jan »

I picked up a Leucadendron Salignum (male) "Cheeky" - $4.00 on a throw out table and thought I'd give it a try. It was shooting well after being allowed to dry out (a couple of branches had died back and there were dead leaves).

Has anyone else tried one as bonsai?

Any advice?

P.S.I really have to stop doing this, I'm trying to limit my plants to those that have provenance! At a distance the leaves looked like an Aussie bottlebrush so I weakened and had a look - a quick read of the tag and I thought it had possibilities.......
