How is the Old Grove going?

I don't trust Bonsai, they are a little shady.

Hi -

The 'Old Grove' is doing well health wise - but it is in a re-training phase at the moment so it is temporarily potted into a larger (and less appealing) pot. I wanted the last pot for another composition and have not yet been able to get another quality low profile oval of the right size. The extra growth wont go astray - it will allow me to prune and move a few branches.

Here is a pic from this afternoon.

The Old Forest is doing well - it turned 40 years old in 2019. Several years ago it made it back into its original pot and attached is a picture of it in the rain today, and another pic on a bonsai stand from 2018. The next time I work on it I will be lowering the side branches again as they slowly lift up each season. It has Bulbophyllum minutissimum, Cadetia wariana and Saccolabiopsis armitii epiphytic orchids growing on its trunks and branches.

Regards, Ash
