It's from Brazil!
Brazilian scientist describes new plant species with the largest leaf in the world!
Congratulations rogério gribel and team " happy and proud to be one of the authors of the article describing a new plant species for science (link below). And it's not just any species: it's the largest leaf ever recorded in the world! The beautiful name chosen is coccoloba gigantifolia, finally baptized. And we are already worried about its conservation, because its region of occurrence is in an area of rampant expansion of deforestation.
I wonder if the leaf will get smaller with defoliation...
