It's nearly that time of year to collect seed for conifers, I've had my eye on this tree for a while and hope to collect some seed this year. I thought it might be a spruce but not sure.
Any ideas?

Looks more cedar-ish to me but I’m hardly an authority on conifers

Look up Atlas cedar (Cedrus atlantica) tree. I believe thats what you have there.

Definitely looks like a cedrus/true cedar. Are the cones on top of the branches or hanging down ?

Thanks guys, Didn't think of cedars new species for me. You have nailed it, coming from Nth Qld. a lot of the trees down here are all foreign to me. I appreciate the time and effort you take to respond.
