Not much to go on from a single out of focus photo.
I'm inclined to agree with Kirky on Ficus but some better shots of leaf, bark and especially tips of branches would be helpful to confirm that tentative ID.
Brisbane location would explain the many aerial roots.
Most Ficus sp are very tough and will shoot back well even after neglect. Plenty of fertilizer and a good location should quickly restore its health and vitality.
