Some sort of pine

Hi all, I picked up a pine cone in the Rhododendron Gardens in Northern Tasmania a few years ago, and managed to get three viable seeds. Only one has survived, but it seems to be happy, at least at the moment.

Anyone have a clue what it might be?

Hi Mel,
Are the needles all pairs or are there some of three or more? That might help with I.D.
Cheers, Frank.

Japanese black pine. Just from its look and white , prominent Buds. Needles stiff, dark green. If its a to needle that clinches it.

it's a two needle. I put a shot up of one of the clumps, they're all like that. Thanks Frank and Grant, much appreciated!
