To grow or not to grow (pines)

Can anyone identify this pine?

Two needles, stiff and short, white flakey bark, smallish cones, branches slightly pendulous.

I initially thought these were 2 needled radiata but not sure (needles are very short, 2.5"). Doesn't have hard cones.

These ones are small and round with massive cones and big nuts.

I'm no expert on pines. The first 2 I don't know, the last one may be slash pine. Where about are these pictures taken? Different pines were grown in different areas of Australia due to climate. In my area there is mostly Slash pine as it is more tolerant of heat, humidity and mild winters.

It is worth putting a location in your profile as so much advise is based on location and it saves people having to ask each time you ask a question.

Location definitely gives clues to ID. Even though pines are introduced some are more common in the north, others more common south and others do better in the drier west. Location will not ID a pine, just gives us more likelihood.

While needle size and arrangement helps put pines into groups and bark helps differentiate some species, cones are usually the final key to identification. 'Huge' may give us some ideas but doesn't describe the shape or shape of the individual scales on the cones. 'Doesn't have hard cones' is also not really very helpful. What cones does it have? Pics are always great where possible.

It's okay the plant app gives me a rough idea, can't be sure though. Got heaps of seed from all of them so I'll just grow them and see what happens.

Bark of the last one looks like Pinus canariensis to me, but i'm no pine expert

I'm in Southwest Vic not far from Geelong, I'll update my profile.

Unfortunately they were collected all over summer and i don't have the cones anymore.

I was kinda half joking with the huge cones and big nuts, my whacked sense of humour, lol.
