Leptospermum rupestre (Mountain Teatree) is found (you guessed it) on the mountains in Tasmania, where it can be anything from as flat as a carpet (eg on the summit of Mt Wellington) to many-branched shrubs, growing up to 2m high. Like most teatrees, it develops terrific flakey bark, and roping, or muscling of the trunk with age. Rupestre means, 'of the rock', so I feel this plant's container is appropriate.

This little specimen was collected about 20 years ago (from I know not exactly where!) and given to me 5 years later. The plant is only 15 cm high. It has been up on it's rock for about one year now. (And apologies for the poor focus)
