This tree was purchased four years ago. It was 100mm higher than it is presently. The tree had no shape and the branches were extremely long. It was cut back to just two leaves on each small branch so that the tree could be styled and shaped. It was re-potted in Dec 2010 into its present pot, which was made by Pat Kennedy. It has been re-potted so that there can be two fronts to the tree. The top picture shows the trunk carved and painted with bitumen paint, diluted with turpentine.The tree is estimated to be eleven years old. The potting mix is akadama. As with all my trees, it is fertilised with NPK Blue monthly and liquid fertiliser fortnightly.
