Shohin Black Pine

Post by luke4 »

Hi all,

This is one of my most favourite trees in my collection - Black Pine Shohin.

I aquired it about 2 years ago. It stands just under 20cms tall with a trunk diameter of just over 8 cms.

I'd be interested in hearing peoples thoughts??

Cheers
Luke

Very nice tree, gotta love the Black Pines. Looks like the needle reduction is going extremely well.

My only thought is where can I get one.

Terrific little tree. Do you cut the needles to lenght or are they just short now?

Cheers

Thanks!

It's even better in real life .. Not many trees like it in Australia if you know what I mean ;)

These photos are from earlier in the growing season so they have elongated a little bit since then. HoweverI have been able to keep the needles relatively short through the right pruning and watering techniques.

Does anyone know how much $$ a tree like this could fetch?
