Here's my update. Not much work to date. It has grown a little bit since the last shots.

Hello All,

Not the best angle as i haven't done anything with the remaing branches. I cut off the long tail and am left with quite a thick base (hard to tell in the pic). The stick is bending a main branch away from the center. Once the growth starts again, i will wire and prepare for repot.

Here he is after the repot a few weeks ago and just before a trim. It has responded well.

Here he is after a trim. Looks a bit ragged, but will wait for the regrowth and then cut heavier branches back again.

Will also need a wiring. It is very fiddly on such a small tree. No wonder I usually do the big ones.

Final Entry:

Here is my final entry.
It is a little awkward at the current stage, but I like the strength of the trunk for the small size of the tree. I have to say i prefer to wire larger trees. The second branch looks like it has a larger trunk but that is the shadow from the branches in the back. It is a pity that ocurred in the photo. The last photo shows the trunk curve a bit better.
The future plans for the tree are to keep on encouraging back budding on the lower two branches so that they can be shorted and made fuller. The top will end up more rounded as it buds.
