[ANBITA] Banksia Integrifolia #1 - 11 Months

Height 350mm, Width 200mm, Trunk diameter 40mm
Purchased from Ray Nesci April 2011.
Airlayered the top off to make a shohin tree and repotted, started wiring branches to shape - August 2011.

an update for this tree after taking new photos.

it has developed slowly and the branches are filling in and developing.
Still unsure of where its going, but it will gate there eventually/

ideas anyone?

It has very good potential. Can you show 4 different views from each side of this one. Hard to see where the branches go from the pics, but its good stock to work with kc :tu:

by the way, I love your little shohin of this, very cute. I'm jealous as we don't get banksia to grow well where we are.

Maybe make a new leader of the 3rd branch on the right hand side?

Looking a bit predictable right now.
Maybe a nice lean at re-pot will add some interest as well.

I know you like lean tree's but I think this one could either do with some bulk or a size reduction.

Amazing leaf size for integrifolia!
One of the fabulous things about growing bonsai is as you get old and decrepit your trees get old and beautiful

While out taking pics today for this years ANBA comp, I got an updated one of this.
the tree had a shoot low down that I decided to keep as a sacrifice, but may well keep in the final design. Time will tell.
