This tree was collected from a swamp in Gosnells a suburb of Perth in 2004 and has been in training since in the natural ( Shizengi) since.

It is 830mm high by 700 mm wide in a Chinese pot, the accent is common grass found in the swampsplanted in a piece of malle root.

Lovely tree, Pup. I like the way you are moving away from classical styling.

I wonder if melas can be wired with Steven's coil technique? The swampy melas out your way often have similar ziggy branches providing much character and the very young growth is delicate but supple.

Thank you Roger, the first one on the right is being regrown after an accident shortend it by about 15cm so at the moment there is no wire, but some will be done when the warmer weather is here. Yes I am trying more for the natural look, some of my older trees will have to stay as they are, as it requires a complete rebuild which for obvious reason's I will not undertake.
