Re: Rowan - Olea europaea
Cut this olive down and repotted into a looser gravel/coir mix as it had still not started growing new roots. Started carving away the remains of a cut off trunk for taper and to star on the hollow. Please forgive the crooked pic.
Here is a simple virt of what it might look like in a year with hollowed out trunk.

Re: Rowan - Olea europaea
When I reppoted this olive I was disappointed to see it had not started to grow any roots since it was dug. I put it in an open gravel mix and it has heaps of new roots now and many new shoots popping out which you can't see in the photo. I think it will look much different in the next picture I take in a couple of months.

Re: Rowan - Olea europaea
I am pleased with this olive. The roots have exploded since I put it into the gravel mix and it has a lot of new growth. I have started to tip prune it and rub off unwanted shoots, I have also done a little more hollowing out of the trunk. This might turn out to be the best of my three.

Re: Rowan - Olea europaea
Haven't done anything with this olive for the last couple of months. Just letting it grow out to thicken up some branches. When the weather starts to cool down I will start working on it again.
It is starting to shape up nicely and I think it will be the best of my three in this comp.
