[Matt_95]-DEAD-Grevillea firecracker

Post by matt_95 »

This is a grevillea firecracker, a hybrid, I don't know what the parent species where, I have suspicions, I'll try find them later. I didn't initially measure it, I just went and measured the point it appears to go up to on the wall, around 50cm high including the pot, so around 30cm. It is now at 13cm. I'm thinking I will try an informal upright style, its my first bonsai so I don't think it will turn out that well. Grevillea aparently don't like root disturbance, many sites I looked at claimed they will die if the roots are disturbed. I removed the bottom half of the roots and its going well, must be a fluke :) It cost $16.98 I think the pot says. I cut the tree back in mid/late July.

species- grevillea firecracker
Original Height- 30cm
Where from- Nursery
Cost $16.98

This one died because I had trouble keeping up with watering during my exams.
