I picked this tree up befoe the comp was anounced as I thought it was quite nice with small foliage and compact growth. Figured it will do well as a Bonsai and was going to plant out in the garden to grow out and fatten up, but then the comp was anounced and plans changed.
I hope to get exra Votes at the Judging beacuse it is a Natve and it has (hopefully) Lots of nice flowers to woo the ladies,

Cut back hard the top of the tree, Washed out the root ball and reduced by at least 2/3rds
I figured that to get it in bonsai pot in 14 months ( or less) I wil have to be ruthless today and hope it copes

Now in an Orchid pot with lots of room to grow.

Looks like this one survived the harsh prune and is now showing new growth too
