Mugo Pine

Puchased from Bonsai the Imagination Tree

Cost: $30

Height 36cm

Base width 3cm(yet to inspect under the soil....)

Tree has had a large trunk chop and has been reduced back to a single branch.

I have a few Ideas floating around my head for what I will do. Looking to make something from nothing.

I like you're future design,Nick.
Give it some room to grow and heavy feeding and you will get there before you know it. :)

Cheers,

Chris

Change of plan on the tree, I decided given the needle length of mugo pines a different approach was in order. Additionally when I started to twist up the trunk I couldn't help myself.

Here is my projected plan....

Pictures to follow of where I am actually at.

As Promised some updated pics..... The major bends have been put in place and few candles have extended out. Over all the tree is in great health.... always a good point to start.

I will be waiting until the candles harden off before doing anything further, no problems there as I am away working in Denmark right now.....

Hopefully my Girl Friend remembers to check the soil and water all my trees ......

Lucky duck!!! Do you realise you are in one of the most important shohin centres in Europe?? Denmark is the home of Morten Albek. See his website on http://www.shohin-europe.com/INDEX/ALBEK-INFO/index.htm I hope for your own sake that you have the chance of visiting his place.

I get to visit a lot of great places, unfortunately I get very little free time. Most of my days are spent at the venues working. Most I get is some mornings or afternoons.

Do you know where he is?

Hi Nick,

Yes, little time is usually the obstacle when one has to do a job abroad, isn't it. Anyway, for what it's worth, Morten is in Odense and can be contacted via e-mail at albek@shohin-europe.com
Best wishes,

Lisa
