Tree 2 was purchased from A-Z Bonsai Starters in winter of 2003 or 2004 as a 2yo seedling and only had a light root prune in the first spring, going back into it's original 6" plastic pot where it has been for the last 7-8 years. Overdue, I agree.

Caliper: 25mm
Chopped low in Spring 2008, 2nd leader removal, eliminating 1 of 2 strong upward growing shoots last December, leader shortened this winter to stop it falling over!!
