Yes you can do your own Virts as this is a great way to visualize the changes before they are committed. No doing virts on other peoples trees.

Yes you can ask for advice re the trees or offer advice / comments to others. This is how we all learn from each other.

Thanks Ken! Much appreciated. Did not want to do any thing wrong.
I ask lots of questions that sound like suggestions. Please remember I am a inquisitive newbie trying to figure out why You made a particular decision, in order to learn.

Not sure of the answer and not sure how to go about finding it either, but are all the winners from last year back in the mix for the Refine competition? Would be great if they were.

Just a reminder for all entrants, The first update cutoff point for the Comp is coming up at the end of the this month ( 30th June).
As per the competition rules in the first post from Steven, all entries need to have an update posted at least every 3 months, and if you have not posted one already, they must be done so by midnight on this date.

If you have not already posted an update on your entries by then, you will be disqualified from the comp.

look forward to see how all the trees are faring with the update posts.

Does not matter if no work has been done, the Thread needs to be updated every 3 months.
this keeps you focused on the development of the tree, and to keep a record of the changes, You may have not done anything, the tree itself will have.

Hi All,

Just a question, I am aware of the first update deadline being the 30th June, which is now only days away, It has been mentioned that there is an issue with Tapatalk and the uploading of photos through that app., something about it's an issue with Tapatalk and the AusBonsai server, although this doesn't directly effect me it might be the cause of angst for others who use their phones and this app to access the site and also to post photo's of their trees.

With the recent spate of issues with accessing the site and now this Tapatalk problem, will this be taken into consideration in the comp for those who are effected and may not get the chance to update their Comp threads by the first cut off time ?

Cheers

If they updated each of their threads with a text only update describing what they have done to the tree and then saying that they cannot upload photos via Tapatalk I assume we would consider it. Steven will be last word on that tho.
As Quality photos of the trees are part of the competition, I would doubt that the entrants photo upload would impacted?

G'day,

Only 5 more days including today to get your 3 monthly updates done.

If anyone is suffering genuine hardship due to the glitches with the site and cant get their update done then please make a post in your thread stating the reason. Cases will be assessed individually.

I have been trying to post some pictures in another thread, I notice there are no new pics posted anywhere in the last day or two. I am sure it will be working soon but we need to be patient.
Q: Why are we all here?
A: Because we are not all there.

You can always upload your photos to a file sharing site (or something of the nature), then just use BBCode to upload :)

Problem with is that there is no guarantee they will be there for ever.
If the account lapses, then the links usually break! If the files are hosted here, then as long as the site is available then the pics will too.

PS File uploading should be working for all now.

Another reminder - only 2 days to go. I have cleaned up my shed so I can photograph my trees - seeing it is overcast I will do it this afternoon. You must have updated your entries between April 1 and June 30 :tu:
