AusBonsai Shohin Progression Competition 2013-2014

Create the best possible shohin sized bonsai over an 18 month period between 1st April 2013 and 30th September 2014. There are 2 categories;
Category 1. REFINE - A continuation of entries in the 2011-2012 competition.
Category 2. CREATE - To create the best possible Shohin sized bonsai from raw, untrained stock.
Entry posts must be made no later than Midnight EDST on 31st March 2013.

A reminder to all competition entrants, that there are only 7 more days to go until the next photo / thread installment is required to be in for your trees to be included in the final results.
30th June 2014 (next Monday), is the cutoff date for this 3 monthly update

Time for completion and final submissions is approaching

The comps last day is the 30th September!
Less than 3 weeks now

Please get your trees ready and the last photographs need to include one with a tape rule in the shot to show that the tree is indeed Shohin size of 250mm or less from the rim of the pot to the apex of the tree.

Take time to get the best photograph you can and try not to leave it to last day as you never know what might happen to stymie you good work.

Your final submission must include at least one paragraph of text describing the final outcome and what is planned for the future of the tree.
Final submissions must also contain at least two quality photographs, one with a plain background and one with a ruler to verify the finished size of the tree is under 250mm tall. You may submit as many photographs as you like from as many angles as you like.

Also must contain at least two quality photographs, one with a plain background and one with a ruler to verify the finished size of the tree is under 250mm tall. You may submit as many photographs as you like from as many angles as you like.
The height is measured from the top of the pot to the highest point on the tree.

Judging will be conducted by the members of AusBonsai by way of a poll. You will be able to choose your 3 favourite tree's in each of the 2 categories. Voting will commence withing the next couple of days and will be open until 7th October. The winners will be the tree's with the most votes.
