Super happy with this little tree
Never missed a beat after repotting and is now in Full sun with lots of water and a handfull of fertiliser every 6 weeks.
time to start pinching to develop denser foliage now

Be moderate with the pinching if you dont want to revert to juvenile foliage. I made that mistake with my juniper...but it is a chinensis variety that has no compact foliage like the Itoigawa.

I suspect I will have to rewire it after the first lot comes off and that is will need to stay for at least 2 years then to set properly
I have one in the ground that it did a similar thing to and it sprung back a little at first.

I have been pinching foliage and generally tweaking.
Was looking at the bottom back branch and wondering if it should stay or go. Still there at the moment so we will see

If it fits with the design keep it. There are no rules for junipers similar to deciduous. For me you have done a great job here.
Did I understand it correctly? We have to update before the end of June?

Keep it Ken. It's thickening the base. You can always take it off when it's served its purpose. This tree is good enough not to sacrifice that branch for this compo.
