JULY UPDATE
I have made some dramatic changes since my last post. I wasn't convinced that the options I had initially chosen were going to be the best for this competition.
With some new growth in spring and refinement to the carving, I hope to present a convincing tree come judging time.

This tree is withdrawn from the competition. My new best friend decided it tasted pretty good an chewed all the foliage from the branches.
