Re: {gr8bookworm} Oak
Small update,
I removed some of the larger branches and this is how it looked this afternoon:
Did a few more cuts and wired some of the branches, i'm only new so advice would be appreciated.

Re: {gr8bookworm} Oak
My first advice would be that it is not an oak. Looks like an Elm to me.

Lucky because it will make a nice Elm
It's too bad your in such a hurry cause the stories I could tell you, Bushels and baskets of stories, hole crates full of stories. But if you can spare a moment I will tell you one story.

Re: [gr8bookworm] Elm
Might be a wild guess,
but as for the cost, perhaps the tree may have been $45.00.....................a wild guess, just based on the pics ?
Not that its important to the conpitetion.
A pot is a pot, and an oak may be an elm, so.......?
Good luck with it either way, looking good so far.

Re: [gr8bookworm] Elm
Yep, dont I feel like a goose....
Yep the tree was labled at $45 but I think I only paid $25-$30 for it.
So any help with the branches/structure of the tree?
thanks,
Mark

Re: [gr8bookworm] Elm
I have felt like that many times. This is a good tree and it is just letting it grow and get some branch thickening.. The tree looks quite large, do you know the height has to be 250mm and under?gr8bookworm wrote:Yep, dont I feel like a goose....
