[Busta] - Trident Maple
Hi everyone. Here is my first entry for the Shohin comp. The tree that I am going to work on is a Trident maple. I won this tree, as well as 6 other just like it from our club raffle. I usually buy $6 worth of raffle tickets so this tree was less than a $1. I have had this tree for about 2 years now and has been in the ground for 1. I have planted it on a plank of wood to help with the nabari. I was just about to dig it up and do some root work on it but I will wait till the start of September before I touch it.

Sorry for the delay in getting this up guys.
After digging it it i was disappointed that it didn't have any flair at the base so i planted it back in the ground. At the end of the comp it will be in a bonsai pot. ( not that i would do the same thing again, its hard to wire a tree that is small and in the ground).
I am going for a broom style, something i have not tried before.
