One of the fabulous things about growing bonsai is as you get old and decrepit your trees get old and beautiful

The lepto has shown some growth in the past 3 months but I am still at a loss as to its design.

Plenty if growth here. My first real go at lepto and I'm happy with the response from pruning.

Re: {deceased}[Squizzy] Leptospermum laevigatum
Not sure Ken
To much reduction to quickly I think. I thought both being native could have handled it but maybe not. I haven't pulled the roots apart though. Could be something else. Both of the leaves started to shrivel over a two week period and didn't come back. My big tristaniopsis looked similar around Christmas after a heavy chop so have been careful not to cut it back since. Maybe need to limit it to 2 heavy cuts per summer?
