Yes Mojo...you are looking at the right direction....I am a newbie...but I plan to have lots of fun, and maybe learn something.
This plant I dug out of my garden, the day before I took this picture and submitted it...Lets hope it will survive the heavy root reduction and chop of the branches.

I have just trimmed it so it can start back budding, Removed some branches...Have not decided yet what to do with it. Probably a multitrunk tree.

I was waiting for it to back bud before I remove the ones I dont need. Now most of the trunks that are not needed are out.

Found it almost dead when I came from Japan. That is how my gardener was watering it. Needs to recover.

Very hard material to work with.


Some sacrifice branches to heal scars at the base. Had to chop them lower not to hinder the top growth...channel energy.
