Hi
my 3rd entry. collected in may this year 2011 from a drain. very nice dead wood and shari again.

Species: ligustrum sp.
height: 14cm
origin: collected material

nothing has been done to this one, it has jut been left to grow for now.

very rough first wiring on this one, a lot of the unnecessary branches were removed and cleaning work done on the dead wood
im planning on this being a cascade style tree

well this tree has gone through a bit of a major change this evening taking roughly a 300 degree angle change. i saw that changing the angle to upright rather than cascading would make a more interesting tree and make better use of its key features.

Nice change Hugh! Looked good before but looks great now. Love the way you have made the pot work too. Now you just have to stop it rolling off your bench ;)

yeah wouldnt want it rolling away after the work :palm: just strapped it to another pot to hold the angle than tied it all down to the bench, is a bit top heavy at the moment to stand confidently on its own. bit of plastic on the old top and cut out of the side to water from. should repot soon once i have a good amount time to sit down and rearrange the roots.

this one has had a lot of growth put on in the past few months with a lot of pruning happening. i discovered alot of dry rot in the shari so a lot of work was done removing the rotten areas creating hollows in the wood.
