Added a new updated final Photo from this morning

Had a chance on Sunday between loads of mortar, to grab some photos of this little one.
Thru summer, it got attacked by something and suffered a few branches dying and losing most of it foliage.
Cut back hard and onto the nursery bench and its coming back slowly.

I would like to get shoot in the middle of the lowest trunk section to use as a sacrifice to fatten that section, but might have graft one on to do the job.
Other than the odd setback it is getting there slowly and developing over the next 18 months should see it improve.

Repotted a few weeks ago into this little Erin pot, which is a bit shallower.
Gave a trim and tuck on the branches with a little wire to help the shape

Just about to Reshoot after a defoliation as they do not go deciduous here.

New leaves all over and light trim,
The low branch is a sacrifice in order to get some lower trunk girth to see if i can reduce the negative taper there.

I think the side view make a pretty good front Ken. It hides the negative taper too.
Worth considering?

the poor thing got knocked about severely in the hot weather recently.
Coming back with lots of new growth now so all is good.

I put my mame and shohin into trays with sand this past summer... it seems to have helped them cope with the heat pretty well.

This one sits on a gravel tray and usuallly ok thri dummer but this one is a bit rediculous!

glad that one pulled through for you , it's a ripper little tree. Sydney really copped it this summer , but i'm getting a bit nervous as the weather man is saying adelaide is going to cop it during the next few months

Coming back nicely after summer and now needs to be wired.
Will get that this week at school I think

The scarifice is adding to the base and will leave till just before the comp finish.

Lots of nice fresh new growth happening and looking nice
There is some reverse taper happening in the apex but hope foliage will cover that up
