[Bougy Fan] Mini Murraya

Post by Bougy Fan »

I collected this one from a job - it was being stood on and driven over in a car park. Current height is 300mm and the cost was $0.

Keen to see how this goes. I haven't seen a lot of murraya bonsais mentioned here..... and the mini one interests me particularly, since i have one here that I want to layer... so picking your brain on how it goes is my aim.

There seems to be a bit of bar branching in the middle. Cut it hard soon. Good luck.

I didn't see the posts before - am waiting for it to grow a bit more first. I have found if you let these dry out the can die :palm: It is progressing slower than I would like.

Well I have a crappy photo - these trees seem susceptible to drying out and it nearly died. Even though I have seen them in neglected gardens they seem to need more attention when in a pot.

Another slow grower - plus I haven't fertilised as much as my NYE resolution promised :palm:

So only the necessary sustenance has been given to this tree. Happy to note it has some flowers so I must be doing something right

Happy with the progress on this one - have been concentrating on watering and feeding this one.

So it's better news with this one - it has flowered since the last update and has some buds again

This is in need of repotting - I think it will stay in it's current pot to grow on a little. While I was away it went well probably due to the watering system. I also fertilised a little more. I will develop the branching more before it goes into a bonsai pot. I feel these trees likes being wetter rather than being dry in the pot.
