Austromyrtus Bidwillii, also known as Python Tree
Bought in 2015 from Nova Gardens Nursery, $12.99 if my memory serves me well...
It is currently 65 cm high

It got a good pruning end of June, looking for new leader and back budding. It definitely back budded a lot, now will have to have a closer look at it, chose the new leader and feed a lot and let grow unhindered to help heal the scares faster and thicken the trunk.

It certainly went gangbusters after the chop, Pierre.
I also bought an Austromyrtus from Nova Gardens but it is a dulcis x tunuifolia hybrid ("Coppertops") with a strong tendency to weep. It is described as a sprawling groundcover no higher than 1m, so I am inclined to go with a cascade style with mine. Please keep us posted on this one.
