Species Name: Buxus Sempervirens (English Box)
Height: 300mm
Origin: My friend in Hamilton had many of these in her front garden as a hedge and they were growing poorly. She thought it was to do with the soil. Her plan was to take out all existing plants and dirt, replace with new soil and Marraya. I dug them out with the original soil and have had them in a foam box till now.
Obtained: June 2015
Cost: Free
Because I have obtained three or four of these plants I gave my family the opportunity to join the competition. So now have three willing newbies who will take a plant each and enter. I hope you enjoy as it should be a lot of laughs and fun.

Re: [Dibbo] Buxus Sempervirens
After removing this tree from its original container I found the roots full of onion weed . I have now transplanted it into a smaller plastic pot and given it a trim. having trouble looking for a final shape but I will definitely be doing some carving of the large central trunk at the top to create some jin. Just waiting for some warmer weather and sunshine. And some better photos!!
